Preparing for the hunt?

Posted by ctarchery on June 21, 2011 at 10:18 AM

So it's June now.  Bow season starts in approximately 3 months, depending where you are located.  So where are you hunting this year, how many acres and what are you doing now, to get ready?

Personally we hunt 40 acres, with approximately 12 acres of corn planted byu a local farmer.  We looked for sheds while turkey hunting this spring, with not much luck.  We did put in mineral stations and small food plots within the woods of our property, hoping to give the deer extra nutrition and the cover to make them relaxed enough to feed during the day.
